I trained as an Interior Architect at Brighton University, moved into retail and become a retail designer for John Lewis. I become responsible for all of the branch master plans when I moved to the space planning team. Whilst in this role I trained 50+ branch partners in CAD so they could maintain plans in branches, I then centralized the planning process and introduced 360 photo tours of all our shops, maintained by the shops. While I was looking at ways to extract more data from CAD plans and making the ways to look after them more efficient I stumbled across BIM and began to look into and study Digital Construction more closely.
For my next a currant role I am now responsible for all the systems we use at the John Lewis Partnership that have anything to do with the Physical Estate and I am having to rework the whole system. The John Lewis Partnership not only has shop and supermarkets, we have farms, manor house and castle on Islands, we are both land lord and tenant and all my systems have to support all of these areas.
